The end of my backyard is a slope of about 150 m2 and I want it flat so as to lay concrete to convert it to a basketball court for kids. Ian was very responsible and provided reasonable solutions and consulted my preference. Details matter, everything followed standard to setup retaining walls that can last long: 1. the diameter of holes were about 450mm (their auger was about 400mm) 2. the depth of holes were 110% of the length of the post above the ground 3. all posts were leaning a bit inwards to make them harder to push forward 4. reinforced concrete sleepers with two mental bars inside 5. geo texture sheet, drainage pipes and pebbles were properly setup against the retaining wall 6. a laser equipment was used to ensure the top of the raining wall of the lower side, and the bottom of the retaining wall of the upper side, were horizontal, as well as the final earth work 7. previous construction wastes were dig out, tree roots were removed to dig holes (and Ian was very sincere and honest about the potential to charge more if such tedious and time consuming work had to be done more than expected) 8. colorbond fences were adjusted while installed on the bracket so that they were vertical (instead of leaning inwards as the posts) In the end, Ian also helped dumped the extra soil away.
